New York State Supplement Program (SSP) Self-Service Portal
The mySSP portal allows SSP recipients to view their SSP benefit amount and upcoming payment dates, download a Benefit Verification Letter (BV Letter) which is used to document income for other programs, and access recent notices and forms.
To access the portal, recipients must sign in with an NY.gov account (or create one). Only one NY.gov account can be linked to each SSP case, and each account can only be connected to one case. If the linked user needs to change (for example, when a payee changes), SSP must be contacted to update the account.
Please note: The portal cannot be used to apply for SSP—it is for managing existing benefits only.
The State Supplement Program (SSP) provides a state-funded cash benefit for individuals who are aged, blind, or disabled and meet SSI eligibility criteria. For most recipients, SSP is paid in addition to their federal SSI benefit. Some individuals with income too high for SSI may only receive an SSP payment.
